We did Blackwing Lair last weekend with around 10 to 15 people (well up to Firemaw), retro raid! I was a heal bot the last time I was in there way back in vanilla WoW, so tanking it was interesting. lol at having people hearth back to grab their Onyxia Scale Cloaks.
My hunter is 68 and 3/4ths, almost level 69! His mining is at 337, 342 with the +5 mining enchant. It’s really easy to skill in Hellfire Peninsula because there is a virtual crapton of Fel Iron nodes all over the place. Selling the ore has yielded more than enough gold for my poor hunter to get his flying mount, and then some more to pad Keiya’s wallet for the expansion pack. Farming would be way easier with a flying mount.
I finally chanted my Zin’rohk with Savagery. Mongoose probably would have been better but I don’t have Mongoose and was too lazy to outsource the chant (I like chanting my own gear). It’s been sitting in my inventory for months and I am itching to use it because well, it is ginormous. Peen sword!
So I guess that more or less means that I’m going to, at least part of the way, level retribution. Hmm, I think I’ll do an audit of my retribution set to see what slots I need to fill, what gems/chants I’ll need, and what I should blow the rest of my badges on. I have so much spare gear and shit just lying around all over my bank (our melee DPS for the most part all wear leather or chain, guess who usually soaks most of the lolret pieces?). Possible level 70 retribution leveling build.

The latest World of Warcraft patch, 3.1, is up for testing on the PTR. The patch is bringing some significant changes, like the introduction of a new Raid instance – Ulduar – and a new talent system that allows for dual talent specs. The Death Knight class is feeling the winds of change in a big way, both in the form of new Death Knight glyphs as well as significant changes to their talents and abilities.

The list of Death Knight changes is extensive and there is no way I could describe them all in detail, so I am going to pick out the highlights and talk about what they mean for the class as a whole.
Pestilence – Once the bread and butter for quicking up pick AoE aggro on new mobs while Death and Decay is on cooldown, this function is being religated to Blood Boil. Pestilence will now only spread the diseases on the Death Knight’s current target, not inflict any immediate damage.
Blood Boil – Blood Boil has been adjusted to compensate for the change in Pestilence. It will now deal damage to targets that are not afflicted by diseases. It deals increased damage to diseased targets. Blood Boil’s range has been reduced, and its base damage increased.
Blood Plague and Frost Fever – These abilities have had their base duration increased to 15 seconds, from 12.
Plague Strike – This ability no longer removes a HoT effect from the target. To compensate, its damage has been substantially increased.
Auras – Blood Aura, Frost Aura, and Unholy Aura have been replaced with Improved Blood/Frost/Unholy Presence. Specing into this talent adds a bonus to the presence, as well as allows the Death Knight to keep a function of each presence even while in difference presences. ie: Improved Frost Presence grants Frost Presence’s health bonus in all Presences.
Sudden Doom – The Sudden Doom talent in the Blood tree now procs a free Death Coil instead of requiring you to push the button.
Howling Blast – Howling Blast: Swapped positions with Hungering Cold in the talent tree, and damage bonus to targets afflicted by Frost Fever reduced from 100% to 50%. Hungering cold is the 51 pt talent in the frost tree. Moving it up certainly justifies the damage decrease, but what most 2-handed weapon loving Death Knights don’t know is that this change effectively destroys Death Knight dual-wielding as we know it. Currently, the only reason dual-wielding Death Knights can keep up on damage is because their talent build is spell based, and involves spamming Icy Touch so that Rime can proc a free Howling Blast. Blood Strikes with the Reaping talent (from Unholy) make it possible to chain up to four Icy Touches. With Howling Blast moving to the bottom of the tree, however, Death Knights will no longer be able to reach Howling Blast and Reaping, therefore completely destroying this spec.
Necrosis: Can now only be triggered by main hand attacks. Adding insult to injury, Dual-Wielding Death Knights are losing out on damage from this ability as well.

As you may or may not already be aware, another new major content patch for World of Warcraft, patch 3.2, is on the horizon. Within the next couple of months WoW players the world over will be enjoying a heaping load of new content, gear, achievements, bosses, and more.
This new content stems from the Argent Crusade’s Tourmanent Grounds sub-lore that has been developing since 3.1. In an effort to reveal the true champions of the Horde and Alliance, the Argent Crusade organized a tournament in Northeast Icecrown. In 3.1 this area opened as a daily quest zone, where players battled with lances on horseback and completed some ethically questionable quests for a team of unscrupulous goblins. Through the plundering of stone from ancient structures and thieving of wood planks for normally-peaceful tree spirits, the actual Coliseum structure will be completed in patch 3.2. This area will be home to six different versions of dungeon.5-man Dungeon – Trial of the Champion
The first type of dungeon content available come 3.2 will be the Trial of the Crusader. An arena-style event (much like the Ring of Blood or Amphitheater of Anguish) in which players will battle three “bosses” to earn iLvl 200 epics, Champion’s Seals, and Emblems of Conquest. The first of these “bosses” is a team of champions of the opposing faction (NPCs, of course) that you battle with a lance on horseback. Much like the Argent Tournament Jousting dailies you have the same abilities while mounted – Attack, Shield-Breaker, Charge, and Defend. You will also be able to trample your dismounted enemies preventing them from obtaining a fresh mount.
Once you defeat these three while mounted, they’ll come at you in normal combat – You’ll then dismount and defeat them quite easily.
The second boss is actually a representative of the Argent Crusade – Either Argent Confessor Paletress or Eadric the Pure. If you end up battling the Confessor, when she gets low on life she’ll summon a “memory” of yours, which can be any significant creature that you may (or may not) have battled at a previous time. Unfortunately these summons all have the same set of abilities and do not mirror their originals in any way but appearance.
The third boss is a bit of a surprise – the Black Knight (wait, isn’t he dead). He flies in in a grand fashion, dispatches the Silver Covenant rep running the show, and engages you. Once you kill him, he turns into a ghoul. Once you kill the ghoul he turns into a ghost (he’s very persistent). Eventually, you’ll actually kill him for good (supposedly)and scoop up some nice loot for your efforts.
As the second incarnation of the Crusaders’ Coliseum instance, you can set this to Heroic mode and earn iLvl213 epics (Naxx 25, Uld 10 Equivilent) for your slightly greater effort.12next
