Polearms?

Monday, April 13th, 2009

Earlier this morning I passed a druid equipped with a pole-arm and after glancing over the proficiencies list and not seeing it I have to wonder what’s up with that.

Is this a small goof-up on the part of Thottbot?  If so what are the requirements for actually using them with a druid?  Just plunk down the silver with the appropriate trainer at level 20?The latest patch allowed Druids to learn a few more weapons, including Pole-arms. So, yeah, just plunk down the silver at whatever arbitrary level they decided to assign us. I reckon they’re better for Feral, though, as I haven’t seen too many caster style polearms.ye, i like to use polearms on my druid.

im lvl. 49 faral druid, so i got grimloks charge from uldaman.
the stats are:

15 stamina

15 agility

20 AP

and requires lvl. 40.

robinhoodexe darksorrow, alli.Got Cryptfiend’s bite last night Naxx 25man best wep for feral druid at the mo and looks bloody awesome.

epic flight form?
Thought we were able to trin for it at 71.. but I don’t see it with my traineryou need to go to Wildhammer Stronghold in Shadowmoon Valley and pay the 5k Gold first for the flight training…you didn’t think you were gonna get epic flight form for free did you?I have the riding skill of 300..purchased in Shadowmoon valley, I even have an epic flight mount, and I a lvl 74 Druid, so please tell how I get epic flight form…every one says it is available at 71 and trainable, but where and how? Any information would be most helpful. Thank you
Any druid trainer….fastest way to get to a druid trainer….Teleport moonglade…..:) hope that helps….Just do the quest. You might get the mount drop on top of and it’s an interesting fight. Not to mention the one idol you get is pretty good (and no not the mana off flight form one).Sorry for the double post, but on another note here is a link for all your questions/confusion about Riding, Trainers & Mounts.

This worked good for my leveling spec.

I was restoration while leveling. I agro average 10mobs, HoTs your self and jump in bear. Was more fun then  just Feral. I like to play druid for their challenge, so switching of form to heal and everything is more fun then a not so fun rotation of cat form. Might want to try that. Was good to me till 70. After I healed instance till 80.
I dont understand restor spec HoT’s self Bear form vs 10 mobs, wouldnt you only be able to kill 0 mobs before all HoT’s on you run out switch healing form HoT’s self probably die form so many mobs hitting you, back to bear form rinse repeat.

I’ll just stick to mad dps feral small mob pulls :P for levelinglol, life is a solo for me as a feral druid XD
I can EASILY kill five to six mobs (same level as myself) as bear by using the three minute cd that allows mangle to hit three enemies. And if that happens to be on cd, I just grab the same amount of enemies and swipe them to death XD (if I get to like, 50%% than I barkskin and heal full XD

Endgame gear for Balance/Resto Alliance Druids
Greetings,
I am about to hit 80 and want to start collecting gear to create a good setup for when 3.1 allows 2 talent trees.  I aim to be Balance/Resto and since they share similar needs I want to create a good hybrid gear set.  Any suggestions? If you plan to raid, having one set of gear for both restro and balance won’t work out too well.  I tried to do it because like you, I plan on going moonkin/tree when dual specs come out.  I ended up being average at both and now have built up a healer set (not replacing everything, just about 5-6 pieces).  +Spellpower and Int. was fine, but +hit as balance and mana regen (spirit) as restro was the big problem.  I have Titansteel Guardian for moonkin, and War Mace from Heroic Nexus for tree as examples.  You will also want two helms due to metagems (+crit bonus damage gem for moonkin, +int for tree).  Basically you will still want two sets of gear for dual specs if you want to raid and be at the top…

The All time best Druid Ability!!

Monday, April 13th, 2009

This is the coolest ability in my opinion. I love using it when leaving NAXX.

I love that druids can turn into bird form while falling. All other classes need to summon there flying mount and can’t do so while falling. I love running off the edge of Naxx, falling and shifting into a bird and flying back up and out into the distance. Its like a super hero out of a movie.Moonfire
Best spam-able spell in the game imo, I just picture someone’s face turning red in anger when that beam of light strikes over and over and over. It brings me much joyI love instant flyer, too

But the other thing I love about druids are  able to tank anything, Able to heal anything, able to out dps anyone.

Druids are also my favorite healers. I dont have a 80 yet druid, I do have a 80 restor shammy and I know I like druid heals a lot more then all :P

i love it

would try to typhoon horde off of naxx, shadowmeld/fall and hope to get out of combat and pop it, fly up again, repeat.

Restoration or Balance
I was thinking about switching to Resto or Balance once i hit lv 50ish, but I was wondering which one was better? I dont know the Moonkin or Tree of Life abilities and what they do. Can anyone fill me in?Tree of Life is purely a healing spec.  If you don’t want to heal until later (if at all) then go Moonkin or stay Feral.  Basically you’ve got three options….Feral = Tank (as the dps is down in kitty form for end game) DPS = Moonkin (basically you’re a Nature mage) and ToL = Healer (HoT healer though as your cast spells are limited….but you will still heal very nicely).

Moonkin form boosts your crit @ 5%% and also give the party that extra 5%% crit also. (mages will love you for it)
ToL form reduces mana cost of healing spells and also increases heal recieved to party members. (Regular inst you can pretty much spam Lifebloom on a good tank and never go OOM.)okay, I think I might switch to Balance at 40 just because moonkin form sounds really fun.
